stupid q. who will win in a drag race on the street?
I have a 1968 plymouth sport satillite indy 383 big block cylinder heads, cams, heads, 1200CFM single man low rise, rock crusher 4 speed, 4:11 gears, 689hp twisted up. Yenko Camaro and then a 69 which is modified to 513hp
Considering you are the heavier cars, you'll have a distinct disadvantage. However, the fact that your car clearly dominates the Camaro gives you a bit of pulling power on the upper end. What worries me is that you are running 4.11 gears with a 4-speed. I think 3.73 or 3.23 gear would be wiser to keep wheelspin to a minimum. If the Camaro was a TH400 with 4.11 gears, I think this would be a pretty close race. However, if the Camaro has a 4-speed, unless he cheater slicks and you run the tire tread Street, I put money on the Mopar. Off topic, but congratulations to obtain as much power outta the big block 383. I had lots of flamin when I said I wanted to build one, because more people are choosing the corner 440 or 426.
