Why is Harriet Nelson no longer considered IDEAL?
I am a stay at home mother of two sons. I have experience not only in education, real estate, and health care, but I am also working on book. I look like half my age at 31 and I have a eleven year marriage that others are compared to in my social circle. I have made the decision to stay home to be a wife and mother of a "vintage" morals. Yet, I am concidered "inferrior" to women who can't cook, can't keep a man, and have no morals at all. My role models; the same as my mother's, were loving, inteligent, beautiful, and dedicated to their lives.They understood outside of GOD and THEMSELVES that family came first. They did not have to worry about if their husband could make the bills or if they would have to take a job to support their family becuase they married GOOD MEN. Why is it that they take things like Ozzie and Harriet off but keep AMERICAN IDOL. More affairs, more drugs, more STD's, more suicide, more high school drop outs, more activities, MORE THERAPY. Is this Better?
nope -- i take my hat off to you -== i know very few stay at home moms -- but the few i do know could also be a great asset in the work force -- as far as the role of tv -- if they showed stories like ozzie and harriet most would think it is science fiction!!!!
