How do I get birds from my fireplace that made a nest and live there without harming them?
We have lots of birds and baby birds living in our chimney and they do a lot of noise. How can we get out of there without harming them? Thank you
You do not ... you wait until they leave and then you block your fireplace with a screen so they can not nest there again in the future. If there are already chicks are strong enough to hear in the nest, it should not be long before they leave. It is indeed illegal for you to destroy or damage the nest, all wild birds native to the United States are protected by the Migratory Bird Act Treaty. If you can hear them at night while you try to sleep, earplugs, a fan or a white noise machine to drown out the noise.
