Nascar tire size? Should they go to low profile?
With the events of today's race and the 48 & 24 are together, and both tire problems with no one thinks with a low profile tire with less sidewall would help this issue? The current NASCAR Goodyear Eagle 28x12x15.Why not try a 28x12x20? side under the same exact size and better treatment of the tires together. Thank you for stealing my avatar.LOL Jeffy.
Not because there would be no room for the bladder security inside the tire and wheel. Even if they are not always work of the bladder has saved a lot of cars over the years. NASCAR would be crazy to turn away from this profile tire. More low-profile tire would least as a buffer between the sidewalk and the wheel, you go in too many situations wheel cracked at the speed of execution. Even many other types of race with Corvette, Lotus, Mercedes and the very high performance low profile cars that do not use a low profile tire ... Since the beginning of NASCAR, there have been changes cars that make it impossible to do certain things, we are bumping and grinding, and full side-impact crashes. You could put bumpers around the entire guard as they do go to cart tracks and a 100% improvement in the long side ... Want to see it, I do not think so! Point is, it is not only the side being effected by the cuts, it is also the main contact area is to cut the body of a NASCAR car or truck up and down about 3 inches and if at least one body panel is pushed inside the wheel detached from the car will be here right down on the tread of the tire ...
