Is the starter on my Ford Focus warranty?

I bought a 07 ford focus and it has only 14,000 miles on it and leaves starter. I bought the car used from a chevy dealer. Want to start being covered by the warranty? Also, where should I go to have replaced the starter, the dealership where I purchased (Chevrolet) or a Ford dealer?
